The Ardennes

October 2011
In the late Autumn, the Ardennes are a beautiful place. Fallen leafs and a small water (La Hoegne) create a nice scenery. All pictures are taken with a grey filter, because I wanted to create a long shutter speed to make the nice effect in the water.

Update:

8 of my photos are for exposition in 'HuisKinesis' in Delft (the Netherlands). More info is coming soon!

Night photography (Part III)

August 2011
Another composition, longer shutterspeed and another postprocessing.

Night photography (Part II)

August 2011
For a few nights the weather forecast was good to make some photographs of the sky. Unfortunately fog game in after a 20 minutes, but in 20 minutes it's possible to make a star trail. Because there was too little light, the foreground doesn't come out very well. I'll try that next time. Hopefully there will be a night like this, without any fog in the fields. Stay tuned!

Night photography

August 2011
Inspired by photographers from other countries (and some Dutch photographers too) I focussed on night photography last time. Best time to make night-photographs is in winter, because of the long nights, so I have time enough to prepare. During my last trip to Norway I started my orientation on night photography. I read some tutorials and spent a night outside. The fact is that nights are only 3 or 4 hours long in Norway, so a little star trail came out, but it wasn't dark enough in my opinion. You can see the result below. I will spend some nights outside this autumn to get some nice star trails, so stay tuned!

The Netherlands

Clouds came in, so I couldn't get long star trails, but I love the warm atmosphere in this photo.

Star trail Norway

Because of the very short nights, there are not much star trails visible. Sunset was at 1:00 am and sunrise at 3:30 am.
